Commended in IGPOTY
I had a great day out visiting the International Garden Photographer of the Year private view exhibition at Kew Gardens in London. The awarded images on display were stunning and I encourage you to visit their website to see some examples of beautiful gardens around the world. I was delighted to see my commended image of a sunset over Skomer Island featured in the awards book.
Incredible Photographers
It was a wonderful surprise to find my own website featured in this blog article by Sebastien Kennerknecht. It is a brilliant resource to view the work of some inspiring female role models in the industry so please do take a look!
Photo Exhibition at Tête A Thé
For three months you will be able to view my photographs from my final year project at university on display in Tête à Thé in Argentière in the French Alps, (my favourite tea shop in France)! I also produced a children’s book to educate young visitors to the region about conservation and wildlife in the Aiguilles Rouges Mountain Range, a copy of which will be on display for guests to read.
FNP of the month April 2017
I was delighted to be selected as Female Nature Photographer of the Month for April. You can see my photograph of a common frog in Autumn featured by Wild Planet Photo Magazine on a double page spread in the April issue.
Highly Commended in BWPA 2016
I am delighted to announce my photograph of an Atlantic puffin was awarded highly commended in the black and white category of the British Wildlife Photography Awards 2016. This is an image I took on Skomer Island. Puffins are well known for their vibrant beaks and comical appearance, so I decided to show a more elegant side - converting the image to black and white and using a close crop to illustrate the bird cleaning itself. I was so happy to see my image alongside those of other talented photographers in London. It was great to meet likeminded people at the awards ceremony last night, and congratulations to all the other successful entrants.
